Candy is the name of a pet bird in China. He is a lovely blue-eyed cockatoo, and was the pet of a senior manager of a Chinese company. Candy was a beautiful and happy bird, and was much loved by his owner.
However, when his owner got pregnant, her doctor advised her not to have close contact with birds. Consequently, Candy was put in a separate room, but soon became very depressed, and began to peck and pluck out his own feathers. The owner didn’t realize how traumatic the separation would be.
Things got worse as time went by, and the owner was forced to give Candy away to a friend. She asked her friend to take care of Candy and give him medical treatment.
Her friend runs a tea house, and he noticed that Candy was very intelligent and liked to be around people. He became depressed only because he felt forgotten, so the new owner took Candy to the tea house, hoping he would cheer up.
The lovely thing is, since Candy has been at the tea house, he has become his old self again. He loves being around people at the tea house, and he will often say a few words or his own name to each customer.
