It looks like a scene from an action movie, but this is real-life footage from Zhejiang Province on Christmas Eve.
A trucker lost control of his vehicle on the Hangzhou Bay Bridge after one of his front tires burst.
Although he smashes into both sides, the guard rails help to slow him down, and amazingly he doesn’t plunge off the bridge.
When the clip is sped up in the second half of the video, the truck looks like it’s in a pinball machine.
No one else was involved in the accident, and the driver walked away with only a minor chin injury, even though his cab was totally crushed. Apparently he even gave an interview afterward.
At 22 miles long, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge is the longest sea-bridge in the world. It’s an S-shaped cable bridge with six lanes, and links Ningbo in the north with Jiaxing in the south, shortening the distance between the two cities by about 75 miles.
