Our Tibet Story: A Message Through Music (Video)

Tenzing Yeshi is a Tibetan musician who lives in Australia.

He was born and raised in exile in India where his parents tried to maintain their culture away from their homeland, which has been taken over by the Chinese Communist Party.

Musicians in Tibet tend to be persecuted by Chinese authorities because they use their skills to promote Tibet’s national identity.

Tenzing agreed to take part in this project called OurTibetStory to highlight the importance of Tibetan music, and raise awareness of the plight of artists in Tibet.
