After being wounded in the Civil War and becoming addicted to morphine, Colonel John Pemberton began a quest to find a substitute for the dangerous opiate, and the prototype for Coca-Cola was created.
Since then, the small company that started with a beverage as a substitute for morphine has become one of the biggest corporations in the world, offering its concoctions in more than 200 countries, and selling more than 1.8 billion of its beverages per day.
But being well known does not mean being the best product.
Sugar or HFCS is one of the main ingredients in this popular drink, and many studies have already proven the abuse of these substances has a detrimental effect on your health.
Of course, this is something the Coca Cola Company would never disclose in one of its popular advertisements. After all, in 2011, Coca-Cola was named the world’s most valuable brand.
Someone’s made an honest commercial about Coca-Cola, and if you’re hooked on this addictive drink, it’s not going to be pleasant to watch.
