The mass exit starts as the man begins to fall onto his neighbor, and almost everyone has gone within 10 seconds of him passing out.
Such behavior is common in China where bystanders who assist people can later be sued for hospital expenses when the ailing person finds out they can’t afford it.
There have also been several so-called terrorism incidents at train stations recently that have probably left a lot of people in fear of public transport.
