Fast Walking Brigade: No More Square Dancing for Chinese Damas in Shandong

In China, middle-aged and elderly women are fond of dancing in squares, parks, and other public areas in the morning and evening.

But in Qingdao City, a new trend is emerging: Thousands of women (and a few men) gather to walk around a stadium every night with the highest number so far being 3,000 people.

They line up to music, and do about three circuits of the stadium, chanting slogans along the way.
