Veteran Recalls His Friendship With 2 Iraqi Boys in Cartoon

In 2005, Specialist Justin Cliburn was deployed to Iraq alongside the Oklahoma National Guard. Justin served in Baghdad and while there he befriended some local Iraqi children.

The friendship he had with the two boys had a real lasting impact on Justin, which is what is explored in this animated video.

It’s really touching, I didn’t know cartoons could be so serious!

Check out and share the video yourself. It is notably sad, but also serves as an important document of the war and its consequences.
