China executes more people than the rest of the world combined and former railways minister Liu Zhijun was due to get killed for massive corruption in 2013.

Except his death sentence was given a two year reprieve. Which almost always means 10 to 15 years in prison.

Of course since as I have said, China executes a lot of people, but most aren’t so lucky. That’s where prisoners of conscience and the illegal organ trade come into the picture.
