Virtual Justice? Hacktivist Group Anonymous Wages Cyberwar on HK Authorities (Video)

The controversial “Internet gathering” known as Anonymous sent this video to News2Share on Oct. 1, following the harsh treatment of Hong Kong democracy protesters by riot police.

Several Hong Kong-based websites have already been defaced, with the promise of dozens more to be affected in the coming days. In the video, an automated voice explains that officials’ personal info will be exposed online should any protesters be attacked.

This clip was publicized about two weeks after a similar one in which the group vowed to do the same against ISIS.
