A Flute Player Gets Harassed by Peacock Butterfly Mid-Sonata

At one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world, a peacock butterfly interferes with a Chicago-based musician performing a demanding classical piece.

I’m hoping that her focus didn’t slide, otherwise her trip to Denmark for the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition would have been spoiled by a small, winged creature.

But she keeps cool. She still looks very focused, though I’m sure it tickles. Maybe the judges took the butterfly interference into consideration in their scoring.
