Enjoy Potatoes the Chinese Way | Spicy Potatoes

The annual diet of an average person in the first decade of the 21st century included about 73 pounds of potatoes. 

Here is a recipe to spice up your potato intake.

Spicy Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes
  • Green onion tops
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Chopped dried chili
  • Cumin powder
  • Cumin seeds
  • Sichuan pepper
  • Salt

Method:

  • Wash potatoes, place in hot water, add a little salt, boil till soft, peel and squash.
  • Fry squashed potatoes on medium heat, till both sides turn golden.
  • Chop green onion tops, ginger and garlic, fry in oiled pan, add chopped dried chili, cumin powder, cumin seeds, Sichuan pepper, and salt.  Mix well.
  • Add fried potatoes and mix well.
